I have completed many interesting courses over PR and Health and Exercise Science during my time at the University of Oklahoma. These are the most relevant classes. I am graduating in December 2013. Writing for the Mass Media - A lab and lecture based class that coordinate with one another. Lectures on press releases, feature stories, newsletters, and other forms of mass media followed by writing assignments on various elements of writing. Introduction to Public Relations - A survey of all things from PR, from definitions to strategies and tactics to campaigns. Introduction to Advertising - A survey of introductory advertising showcasing basic elements of the advertising business. Introduction to Marketing- A course covering the basics of marketing, including consumer and market behavior, demographics and psycographics, and demand. Public Relations Writing - A lab class consisting of writing assignments including press releases, newsletters, media kits, radio, movie and web assignments. Media Relations - A class covering interview tactics and how to deal with the media in a crisis situation. Principles of Health and Disease - A course covering the body systems and diseases that can affect them. Personal Health - A more in depth view of body systems and diseases. The class covered disease, healthy habits, and the effects of bad habits. |
